Maphohetka (also known as Lady Hetka) is thee main antagonist in the BIzenghast series.
She is first seen in Volume 3 wherein Dinah was succumbing to the trap of the "map pedestal ghost." She was one of three stylists that came to Dinah to fix her up.
Her next appearance was in Volume 7. Her appearance is slightly different. Her hair is different, but the marks on her neck were the same.
History
Lady Hetka was born in a poor family who lived just outside of Bizenghast, near the woods. At some point, many people branded her as a witch and soon, she was brought to the huge tree in front of the library to be hanged. People wearing black cloaks were the only witnesses to the events, but Ms. Adelaide Clark seemed to have seen it as well.
Powers and Abilities
She is able to control people's minds once she touches them. This is symbolized by them gaining the same mark she has on their neck.
